A few miles short of our destination we ran into tons of BFT jumpers in the 40-60 lb range.

We chased them but as soon as we would get close they would go down.

We gave up and headed SW and stopped on some birds and it was game on.

We got around 35 on our first stop, everything worked, bait, iron, and the jack pole.

When the stop was over we went on the troll and every rod went off and it was game on again.

We did this one more time and we were plugged with 85.

One of our fish is a flyline world record, so we released it per IFGA rules.

What a great end to a great year.

We are going to miss 2025.

Craig, John, and I found a small weather window and headed 70 miles SW with a crew of killers.

We left the dock at 4:30 to beat the tide and idled out until first light when it was hammer down.

Craig stopped short on some birds and 30 minutes later we had 25 tuna on the deck.

None of us were ready for wide open fishing from the get go, as evidenced by Craig fishing in shorts as he did not have time to put on is bibs and it was every man for himself.

The 12 knots of wind that was supposed to show up at 2 turned into 20-25 knots at 9:30.

By 10:00 the wind was howling and we decided to head home.

A few minutes before we headed in a huge sword jumped just outside our prop wash on our starboard side, 15 feet from our spread.

The splash was like Shamu at Seaworld.

My guess is that we woke it up, but who knows?

There are tons and tons of fish out there right now and if the weather holds, we hope to have another shot at them.

Craig and Darell ran out around 45 mile miles and the customers killed it on bait.

Craig, John, me, and the rest of the crew are not quite done yet, so we are going to keep running west a couple of days a week until we get tired, work gets in the way, or the season ends.

2025 is too good to quit until we have to.

We scrubbed and the boats that tried to cross the Columbia River Bar turned around.

We are shut down until Friday.

Next week the tides are great and we are hoping for a couple more shots at the tuna.

Jumpers everywhere.

By far our highest 3 day average, but that was mainly due to our Sunday crew trip where we got 75 tuna, plugging the boat and a BUNCH of kill bags- we were so heavy we had to slow down on the way in as we were building too much temp in the CATs.

The crazy part is that the main mass of fish is not here yet.
