Craiger and I ran SNB up to PDX so SNB would be closer to Peterson CAT (and save us $10K in travel $$ for the techs).

Peterson does not screw around and they have already torn down the motor and should start putting it back together on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, I did a crew trip on Legendz and 4 of us did 92 (reeled them all in, no jack pole) in 1.5 days-  these guys are the best of the best and if you want a ton of fish and a great experience, book a trip with them.

Headed out in the AM on the Salty Dog, a Sea Breeze Charters fast tuna boat.

There are a lot of BIG fish moving north and we can't wait to get a shot at them.

The small oil leak on the port motor turned into a bigger problem.

At 8,300 hours and many hundreds of tuna trips, our port motor is worn out and we are shut down for a week or two.

The parts have been ordered and Peterson CAT is expediting them, so we are hoping work can begin next week after Darell and Craiger run SNB up to Portland.

Yesterday we were down for maintenance and had to hear about Legendz triple digit afternoon with only 3 anglers.

Darrell and Craiger ran out to the 125 line and ground out 15 fish in some lousy conditions.  
 
Craiger has started playing the song "final countdown" as they reel in the rods and head home.

Today he put it on and 20 seconds later 8 (when fishing sucks, Craiger puts out a lot of rods) went off and it went WFO- I am pretty sure it the first time we have had 8 troll rods go off at once.

29 fish later the crew headed home with 44 tuna.

2026 is starting to look like another great year, just with the bite coming on a bit later than last year.

Craiger, Darrell and crew ran around 50 miles west and were in to fish right away.

And then it died.

Our buddy on Tuna Time out of Garibaldi experienced the same.

And then it started to pick up.

Darrel and Craiger stuck it out and he crew ended up with a 21 fish bait stop to end the day with 38.

I am hearing VERY good things from the commercial boats a little south of the river.

2026 is shaping up to be a great year, let's hope it keeps up.

The Legendz crew invited Craiger and I on their 1.5 day shakedown trip and it was amazing.

We ran 55 miles SW and were in the fish the entire trip.

5 guys reeled in over 130 fish in some sporty conditions.

There are a lot of tuna out there.

The first sport caught tuna are starting to show up.

Reports from today were 20-27 fish, which is damn good for a full moon and early season fishing..

Craiger, Nick, and I are headed out on Legendz for a 1.5 day trip next week.

Out last two Legendz July trips were amazing and we hope to have a repeat this year.

Salmon fishing went from good to great and today we ended up with 14 salmon and released a bunch more.

Salmon fishing is very good right now.
