Today was the team trip for the www.bicycleattorney.com team that I sponsor.
We started the day without any live bait fisherpeople but ended the day with a bunch. It went WFO pretty early on, and despite a late start, we were beyond plugged by 2. By far the best day of the year, and the ocean could not have been any better. At it in the AM with John and Clark. Captain Mike

We ran deep again today and actually ended up running back in when Opporutnaty got a bait stop goin 7 miles inside of us.
It was never red hot, but it was very consistent, plus our crew were true killers, with an almost 100% conversion rate. The fish were acting VERY weird. One hooked on bait swam right up to the boat and barely put up a fight. Clark saw 20 or so fish in our spread that would come up to our jigs, look at them, and swim away. The ocean is full of fish and bait and is going to go big time soon. Captain Mike Today was big fish Friday, the tune up for the main even on Saturday.
My crew of killers ran out to our honey hole and were into fish right away. It went WFO within 10 minute with fish boiling all around the boat. The wind was blowing, but they followed us for 30 minutes, boiling off the transom. After that is slowed down a little and we picked them off, 1-3 at at time. Three hours and 29 fish later, we decided to head in so we could weigh by 4 (we hit the dock at 3), fuel up, rig up, and drink some beer. Clark's girlfriend, Nancy, is definitely ruined- at the end of the day I guessed that she caught 8 tuna, and she was quick to tell me it was 9- her life will never be the same again, but at least she is dating the right guy. We are running deep SW in the AM and hope to find them again. Captain Mike Opportunaty called us and and we ran deep.
We got on them within a minute of dropping in. We were on our way to plugging the boat when it slowed. During a lull we heard a huge boom and could not figure it out, until some other boats called and asked if we heard it too- I am pretty sure it was an Air National Guard F-15 breaking the sound barrier. At it again in the AM with my tournament team. Captain Mike |
