John, Nick, and I ran 40 miles SW with our crew.
We were in fish right away and it never really slowed up. It took us forever to get out, as the fog was terrible. There are acres and acres of fish out there right now. Mike C

Darrel, Craig, and Gary got it done today.
It started out slow and then picked up a bunch. They ended up with 40 plus tuna. Mike C Darrel, Craiger, and the Aho crew killed it.
They had a 30 fish stop to get things going and plugged the boat and then some. Plus, two buddies on two different boats found huge piles of yellowtail!! What an amazing season. Mike C Right after the full moon it slowed down and went from good to slow, so we shut down for a day.
Today me, Nick, and Nick were at it and it was awesome. Our anglers plugged the boat and then some. Tomorrow will probably be better and then the wind shuts us down for a few days. There are tons and tons of tuna pretty much anywhere right now. Mike C We ran back to the honey hole and it was dead.
We ran west to the commercial fleet and got one when a buddy called us in. We picked away at them and the bite slowly got better until we ended with a quad on the troll and 46 tuna in the boxes. Amazing. Mike C We got called into a hot bite by Cpt Steve Sohlstrom on the Salty Dog from Seabreeze Charters.
1.5 hours and 51 tuna later we were done and headed home. Amazing. We are 100% booked but Sea Breeze has some slots. Mike C The fish took a day off but came back strong today.
50 plus fish. Mike C Two days of back to back fishing and I am beat.
Lots of fish 29 miles west of Ilwaco. 95 fish hit the deck in two days. What a year. At it again in the AM when John and I get to be customers for a short crew. Mike C Mike P and Craig got it done.
They had 50 plus. That is all I know. Mike C |
