FOOD & LODGING
Salt Hotel is located at the Port of Ilwaco, a few hundred yards from Shake N Bake.
The hotel was recently taken down to the studs and completely redone.
The owner, Jules, is about as friendly as it gets and also operates the Skookum Surf Shop and is a great surf instructor.
Salt now has a pub located right on the water in Ilwaco.
There is not better place to stay, eat, and drink in Ilwaco.
The Adrift Hotel is located in the heart of Long Beach, about a 10 minute drive from Shake N Bake.
It was recently updated and is a very hip, fun, hotel on the beach.
It also has a great bar and restaurant, the Pickled Fish, with incredible views of the Pacific.
The Ilwaco Tuna Club is located at the east end of the port.
We have beer on tap for members and guests and lots of fishing talk.
The Tuna Club offers rooms with shared bathrooms at $70 per night. It's a clubhouse and a few members live there in the summer, so it's a bit more 'fishing lodge-style' than a traditional hotel.
The Depot Restaurant is the best restaurant on the Long Beach peninsula.
The owners, Nancy and Michael have been running the restaurants for years and really know food.
Their Southern Comfort pork shoulder is out of this world and so is everything else.
You will not be disappointed at the Depot.
For donuts and pastries, you cannot beat the Cottage Bakery.
HUGE selection of great baked goods at dirt cheap prices.
They are open early if you want to grab donuts or breakfast before your trip.
If you like beer, you are going to love the North Jetty Brewery.
Michelle and Erik, the owners, are beer fanatics and brew some of the best beer in the NW.
They are located just before you get to downtown Long Beach.
