Clark and Deny have been working hard all spring to get Shake N Bake ready for tuna.
Lots and lots of little things (pumps, wiring, etc..) and some big things (transmission service) were done and it was finally time for us to splash her. We had a little excitement when we found out the port motor transmission controls were reversed (I was warned) but after a quick adjustment, all was good and she ran great. SST (Sea Surface Temperature) sat shots are showing a lot of almost warm enough water. The water needs to warm up and form up the tuna highway, which is looking better every day. It is shaping up to be a normal year, which means tuna by July 4th, and probably by the last week of June. We are going to start hunting (and breaking in the new motor) in 3 or so weeks. Stay tuned. Captain Mike
