Great crew.
Beautiful ocean. Slow fishing. We ended up with 9 fat tuna. The crew did not lose a single fish. We can see lots and lots of tuna down around 50 feet on the sonar, but they don't want to come up. I am handing the helm over to DirtyE for tomorrow and then the ocean is going to shut us down for two days. Captain Mike

We are always a little nervous after a big blow and a week off the water.
Terrafin (our satellite surface temp provider) showed a pretty good temp break right where we left off last week. We ran out around 40 miles and started trolling. We got two right off and then slowly got one at a time, with zero on bait. About the 4th stop the ocean exploded with tuna boiling on our bait. We put 10 or so on the deck and then they went down. An hour later we did it again. We ended up with 25 fish for 4 rods, including some pigs. We are at it again in the AM. Captain Mike |
