We ran out to the honey hole today, expecting a hot bite like yesterday.
No such luck. We ground it out for a few hours and got 4 tuna. Luckily, a buddy texted me on my nifty InReach satellite text communicator that it was hot inside. I ran in and slid in on the Opportunaty. We got them going right away and stacked the deck. Then we heard what we love to hear, "MAKO" (our crew was pretty salty and actually knew a mako from a blue shark). Five minutes later we had a mako on and not long afterwards it was in the box. The bite died and we went on the troll. Pretty soon Opportunaty was in them again and we slid in and it was on again. We were not quite plugged (the mako took up a bunch of room), but pretty close. Great crew, great ocean and good fishing. We are sitting out tomorrow, as the forecast sucks. Captain Mike
