The forecast seemed too good to be true.
It was, as it was OK on the way out and then blew up big time, like 20 knots and 6' at 6 seconds. It made fishing challenging, but we were in fish right away and stayed in them most of the day. We were drifting at 1.5 knots, which pretty much killed our bait game, most of our fish were on the troll, which is pretty weird for the end of September. We marked TONS of fish, but most of the time they stayed down at 50 feet. Our 5 man crew still got it done and put 37 tuna in the box on the roughest ocean we have fished in a long, long time. No fishing for a few days, as the wind is supposed to blow. At it again this weekend. Captain Mike
