I just got a text from DirtyE and Cooney.

Good fishing.

Good PM bite and multiple bait stops.

26 tuna.

Marinetraffic.com shows them running in at 28.5 knots, so the ocean must be pretty nice.

DirtyE and Cooney are at it again in the AM.

MY brother Scott and I joined 4 other Tuna killers with Dirty E and Clooney for a great day of tuna fishing on the nicest Tuna ride in the Northwest. We worked hard for the 26 Tuna we caught on Monday. Only one of the Tuna we took home was stuffed with Anchovies, the other fish either had no bait in the there stomach or very little digested bait. Was surprised to see this as we thought maybe one of the reasons we could not get a sustained bait stop going was that the fish may have been feeding heavily during the full moon phase that just ended and were full.
We had a great time on the fastest Tuna charter out of Ilwaco and are looking forward to fishing with this great crew again next year.

This was my first Tuna charter ever.I am handicapped and they helped me a every turn. I managed to boat 3 tuna and was wore out. I could hook them but fighting them to the boat was impossible after a couple fish. They helped me every time I needed help. DirtyE is not just a captain, he is there to help whoever needs it.. This was an excellent trip to be remembered for Oh by the way the rest of my life. Thank you very much.............. Oh by the way, the 30 or so pounds of Tuna loins will be good canned also. Thank you very much for an excellent trip.

The right equipment depends mostly on what you plan to do with it. The right equipment for catching little bluegill in a local pond will not be right for fishing large sturgeon.
