We ran out to the honey hole at 27 knots on a great ocean.
We were into the fish pretty quick and almost had the boat plugged by one (we left the dock at 8:30). We hunted for the last few and then had a bait stop go and plugged the boat and then some. Towards the end of the stop a client said "big shark" and Clark started screaming MAKO, MAKO. Clark grabbed our mako rig, sliced off a tuna belly, and began to hunt. Pretty soon the mako decided to eat one of our tuna on the surface. Clark pitched the belly and got the mako to bite. I got a gaff into it right away and 10 minutes later we had a 130 or so pound mako in the boat. Clark was out of his mind and screaming like a little girl, as he is in love with makos. We ran back in on a flat ocean at 27 knots. Great crew, great ocean, great fishing. DirtyE and Clark are at it in the AM. Captain Mike

I've fish my whole life (60+ years) and this is by far the most adrenaline packed exciting time on the water I've ever had. Mike and Clark are a well oiled machine with the best gear, boat and knowledge to give you the best time you'll have fishing. I've lived here all my life and hadn't experienced albacore fishing yet...well that just changed, I'll be back guys! Tight lines, Gary

Thanks to Clark for the Mako steak. Mild white flaky meat, very tasty. I'll never forget how excited Clark got fighting that Mako...Christmas in August for him!
