Clark fought a long, hard battle with depression and finally succumbed to his demons and took his own life on July 4th.
We will never find a better captain, friend, or human being. Team Shake N Bake is like family, so we lost a family member. We are going to drown our sorrows with saltwater as that is what Clark would have wanted as the ocean was the one place he was always happy. When we have had some time for the wounds to heal up a little bit we will announce the when and wear for Clark's celebration of life and I am pretty sure it will involve saltwater and boats. Captain Mike

I was fortunate to fish with Clark aboard Shake and Bake twice. I spend a lot of time on the water and around fisherman and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy so passionate about the ocean. Rest In Peace.

My instant love for tuna fishing was very much due to Clark. Learning to tuna fish from him and be on the boat with him as he echoed back "Fresh One" every time it was called out with the same excitement, regardless of whether it was the first fish of the day or the last, was what set the hook for me (oh and he also taught me NOT to set the hook - on more than one occasion). RIP Clark

I too had the pleasure of fishing with Clark on both Shake N' Bake boats. I liked the guy the minute I met him. Always friendly and willing to help out a rookie tuna fisherman. It breaks my heart to hear this sad news. Prayer's to his family including the entire Shake N' Bake crew.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Clark once. I took my grandson on his first tuna trip with him. He was terrific. Took time to answer any questions we had. He was kind caring and very concerned about everyone catching fish and having a great day. Will think of him every time I remember that day.

William was such a great guy. His laugh and smile were contagious. He made working at the hospital so much fun. When he decided to follow his dreams I was so incredibly happy for him~ I am now so sad to hear of his passing. Rest Easy Friend, and Rock On Brother ~ Heather
