It was time for a life raft repack, so we figured it would be a good to see how it all worked before the boat was on fire and our eyes were blinded by tears.
The guys at the Englund's raft shop were AMAZING. They taught us a ton about life rafts and our specific life raft. There is a lot more to a raft than we knew about and now we have a pretty good idea of how to deploy the raft, get in, and not die. They are also packing one of our EPIRBs in the raft, so we won't be in it for very long if we have to deploy it. Clark and TJ (the world's best marine electronics guy) have been hard at work stripping out the old electronics to get ready to install our new Raymarine electronics. If you ever want to know what it is like to scrape 5200 off of a transducer in a cramped engine room for 3.5 hours, Clark can tell you. Coast Diesel is servicing the CAT's and Deny is taking care of everything else. We are on target for an April splash date. I can't wait for June. Captain Mike
