The wind was blowing hard so we went bottom fishing. Limits of lings and bottom fish. Mark Coleman found good numbers of tuna off the Columbia River before the wind picked up.
The last three days the wind has been blowing pretty hard, so Clark went bottom fishing instead and his crews limited out on nice sized lingcod and bottom fish three days in a row.
Clark has the bottom fishing really dialed in- we are going to start offering it as an option on the days when the ocean won't let us run for tuna- the spot we fish in is fairly protected so sometimes it will work when offshore won't.
Our good buddy, Mark Coleman of Allrivers Charters, snuck out before the wind blew up and had very good tuna fishing in the Astoria Canyon.
Clark and Mike are at it with our first tuna charter on Tuesday.
I will post up as report then.
