Tuna season is not just August.

A lot of people have the misconception that tuna season is only August.

Most years the tuna show up around the end of June, but that seems to be changing.

in 2015 there were good numbers in mid June and it just built up until it died (we still don't know why) around September 24th.  

Most years the fishing keeps building until we get blown off the water at the end of October and we have found them in good numbers in November.  The best fishing I have ever seen was in October.

We shut down at the end of September because the weather is too unpredictable.

With the El Nino (the water temperature at the tuna grounds is 4 degrees higher than normal right now) it is a little harder to predict exactly when the fish will show up.

I hate boat rides, so if the fish are not there I will call the trip off.

If we get skunked, your trip is free, so the risk is on us.

If I had to chose a time of year to fish, I personally prefer September and October, as the fish are a little skittish, but it is a livebait only game and the schools seem to be bigger.

If you are thinking about booking, do it now, as we are filling up fast and will be 100% booked long before we catch our first tuna.
